{
HER NAME IS ABIGAIL }

“I want to end it all…monsters shouldn’t live among humans.” With that said, she pulled Frederick with her and jumped off the rooftop.

“No!!!”
_______

Death.

This was the end path she chose. One thing life taught her was that, death is the end game for every living thing.

Her mother died, and the torture she always go through in the hands of a monster she married as a husband ended.

Tara died, and the pain of Hepatitis B ended. Even the past victims who had one sickness or the other, they died and all of the pains stopped.

Death… It puts an end to everything people faces in the world, whether good or bad. It is the end point of life.

Abby glanced over at the man who made her like this, the man who made her a shadow of herself. The man who made her a monster. The man she decided to die alongside with, he was falling a few miles away from her.

Frederick never saw this coming and it took him by surprise when she pushed him and herself off the rooftop. For the first time in his life, he was beaten at his own game.

There was no chance of survival for him. For them.

Frederick closed his eyes, accepting his fate of death. The path that his stepdaughter chose for him.

Abby’s lips stretched into a smile. She had always thought of ways to put an end to this bastard’s miserable life! Make him go through all of the pains he made her go through as a child. She tortured him this past years, using every method he used on her. She gave him a taste of his own medicine. And now, he was going to die along with the monster he created – her.

However, in all of this that has happened, Abby was grateful for a lot of things. She was glad to have met an angel like Emma, a lady who loved and took care of her to the very end. Emma wasn’t just a best friend to Abby, she was a sister. A family.

Abby was also glad to have met a beautiful princess like Tara. She is sure that wherever the teenage girl is, it is a safe and happy place. A place where princesses like her should be. A place where she would feel no pain, sadness or fear.

Abby was glad to have also met a man like Jersey who loved her unconditionally. He chose her over himself. How crazy can that be? Indeed, she was fortunate to have met them regardless of how messed up her life was.

Her happy memories with them that she wouldn’t trade for anything in this world played in her head and that warmed her heart.

Abby gazed back to the rooftop where Jersey, Robert, Ginny and Emma was. They were all staring down at her with their eyes wide opened. Everyone least expected her last move.

“Abby!” Emma screamed, attempting to jump off the rooftop as well to save her friend but Robert wrapped his arms around her waist, stopping her. “Let go of me.” She struggled to pull away from his arms but he wouldn’t let go.

“You can’t save her.” He told her the bitter truth.

“No, no, no. Abby…” Emma wept bitterly, stretching forth her arm as if she would be able to catch her friend that way but fantasy was impossible in the real world.

“I’m sorry…” Abby mouthed and her eyes fluttered close, tears rolling down her face as she accepted her end.

Additionally, she was glad about one more thing… The fact that she was able to cry at her very end. She is human after all.

A few moments later, Abby and Frederick collided with the cold ground, kissing the world a goodbye.

Emma was crying bitterly, kneeling down on the tiled floor.

This wasn’t how she expected things to end. This wasn’t the future she imagined of herself and best friend.

How can life been so cruel and partial?

Abby didn’t deserve this at all. She didn’t deserve the sad ending she got.

Emma clutched her chest, squeezing her eyes tightly shut and sobbed even harder.

Robert approached and knelt beside her before wrapping her arms around her shoulders, consoling her.

“It’s going to be okay.” He mumbled softly.

“How?” She asked in tears. “How is it going to be okay? Am I going to have my best friend back? Tell me, how is it going to be okay?”

“I don’t know. But trust me, she is in a better place now.” He told her, stroking her back gently.

Emma shook her head. “No, I want her here with me. I want my best friend back. Is that too much to ask for?”

“No.” He answered. “But you have to be strong. Abby will want that for you as well.”

“You have to stop crying,” Ginny stated, giving her senior a sad and pitiful look.

“During her dying moment she cried… For the first time in my life, I saw my best friend cry.” She said, sniffling. “I can’t believe she would kill herself in front of me. How could she do this to me?”

Robert pulled Emma into his arms and dropped a soft kiss on top of her head.

“Stop crying, Emma. Please…”

She didn’t listen. She continued crying, staring at the photo of Abby which was of her(Abby) crying. It turns out that Abby took a selfie of herself crying in the room. Emma decided to use it for her obituary because it was the most beautiful picture she has ever seen of Abigail.

“Rest in peace, my sweet sister. You will forever be in my heart. I love you so much.”

Emma was trying to make pancakes for herself but it was pretty difficult.

She groaned at the back of her throat, trying to flip the pancakes upside down but it fell to the ground.

“Oh, shit.” She cursed, mentally scolding herself.

“What are you doing?” A feminine voice said, entering the kitchen.

Emma raised her head up and saw Abigail, wearing black shorts and a blue tank top.

“Are you trying to make pancakes? How many times have I told you to call me first before you turn on the gas, huh? Do you want to burn down the house?” She glanced down at the pancakes on the ground and shook her head. “You are even wasting pancakes. I bought these with money, you know.”

Tears streamed down Emma’s face as her lips started trembling.

“Abby…” She called out in a soft voice, looking beyond shocked.

“Why are you looking at me like you’ve just seen a ghost?” Abby scoffed.

“How…how are you here?” Emma asked in surprised.

“You are the one hallucinating me.” She answered, grinning. “Do you miss me?”

“I miss you so much, Abby. I can’t believe you are gone. It hurts to know that I will never see you again.”

“You are seeing me now.” Abby pointed out, leaning towards the counter. “Do you need my help to make the pancakes?”

“It is difficult to make it. How do you do it?”

The doorbell rang, grabbing Emma’s attention.

“Someone is knocking, do you want to get the door?”

“Uhm, I will be right back. Hold on.” Emma attempted to leave when Abby said,

“I won’t be here when you return and you won’t be able to hallucinate me.”

“What?”

“Emma, you need to move on. I know it hurts but you have to let go.”

“No, I can’t.” Emma refused, crying. “You know what, I am not going to get the door. Let’s just stay here and chill.” She suggested.

“I still have to leave. I am in a better place now. But your distress and pain are making it hard for me to rest in peace. I’m sorry for leaving you like this but you have to live the rest of your life well. Be happy.”

“Abby, please stop talking like this. I can’t let go of you. I can’t…” She vigorously shook her head, more tears streaming down her face.

“You want me to rest in peace, don’t you?” Emma nodded. “Then let go of me and move on. Enjoy the rest of your life and be with the one that makes you happy. However, I will come back to your life again. Someday in the future, I will be back.” She said.

“Abby, don’t go. Please.”

“I have to. I’m sorry, sis. And I promise to come back to you in the future. Believe me, I will be back.” With that being said, she slowly began to fade away.

“Abby!” Emma screamed, reaching out to grasp her friend’s arm but ended up grabbing the air.

Abby gave out a bitter smile before completely disappearing into the thin air.

“No, don’t leave me!!!” Emma screamed in an agonizing voice.

“Emma, are you okay?” Robert asked from the kitchen door, breathing heavily.

Emma didn’t answer and went on crying.

Robert stepped closer and engulfed her into a warm embrace, stroking her hair lightly.

“What happened?” He asked her.

“Abby was here. I swear I saw Abby. She was here with me in the kitchen.” She answered in tears.

Robert tightened his arms around Emma.

She hasn’t stepped out of the house since the death of Abby. Everyone at work has been so worried about her, including himself and Ginny.

She was in so much pain. Abby’s departure was still hurting her and he doesn’t know what to do to make her feel better.

However, he knows how much it hurts to lose someone you love so much.

“I miss her so much. I miss my best friend.” She stated, crumpling his shirt as she clutched it. “I can’t live without her, Robert. I am all alone now.”

“No, you are not.” He said. “You still have me, remember?”

She didn’t say anything but buried her face on his chest, inhaling his scent that somewhat calmed her down.
