Johnson Okay, I’m on my way!

As I was walking on road trying to get transport, I noticed a black car following me slowly, I quicken my steps trying to shake them off but they still maintained their course on me, This car following me must be Chief Akanga!

Luckily, I saw a taxi and boarded and asked him to drive fast to the police station which he gladly did after I dropped 2k on his laps, Before long, we soon arrived there but despite how fast we went, the black car followed, as we reached the police station, they parked a safe distance not to attract attention.

I quickly entered the police station, and went to see Regina, as soon as I went in, I noticed T-gun’s corpse in a body bag! On the side of his head was a gaping bullet hole, What could have made him done that? He wasn’t the suicide type of guy, there has to be reason to this, I can’t believe he committed suicide on his own will.

I entered Regina’s office, she was checking some files on her table, I coughed and she noticed my presence, She quickly covered them as she saw me! Why would she do that? Something must be going on!

Johnson Regina! Why did T-gun kill himself?

Regina Joe was torturing him, asking him to tell us the gang’s hideout! Before we noticed he took my gun and shot himself.

Johnson You can’t fool a 10year old with that stupid story, really? He couldn’t have shot himself like that and if he had the gun, he would have killed you both.

I quickly went to her table and took the files, they were pictures, of T-gun, Billy, Barbie’s dead boyfriend, the girl I shot and me! What was all this? Why was our pictures here? I knew it, You can never trust Nigerian police! I looked at Regina and she looked nervous, she couldn’t look me in the eyes! She must be hiding something. I went to her and grabbed her neck holding it tight.

Eventually T-gun got jealous of Tunde because he was getting special attention from barbie and eventually told the gang that Tunde was a police informant and got him killed, All those times we didn’t know he was a traitor until this girl killed, So we decided to use you and billy to get information but T-gun didn’t know, Billy got reckless and got himself killed, leaving only you as our only informant.

Regina Since T-gun betrayed us, We feared our informants would also do the same, so we made a bait to make our informants loyal to us, That was the bounty, with that bounty, people couldn’t betray us again and once the task was done……

I opened my mouth in shock, Was this really true? All this risky work turned out to be a waste of time, So these bastards were going to ditch us to take the fall, while they took all the credit? That’s Nigerian police for you.

I left the office and went out of the station, I couldn’t believe this! So this was what they were planning! They were going to get rid of us in the end, greedy bastards! They can’t even dash money for hard work, stingy bastards, I’ll end this myself.

As I was far away from the police station, The black car pulled over and some big guys came down from the car and pointed guns at me.

They made me enter the car, and soon they drove off with me. They covered my face so I couldn’t see where we were going!

After a while, we arrived at an uncompleted building, the place was filled with huge piles of sand, I was pushed out of the car and dragged into the building.

They took me up stairs into an empty space and ties my hands with a rope, it wasn’t tight enough and it would time some time to loosen myself.

We waited for a while before Their boss came and as I expected it was chief Akanga, He looked more fatter than last time, He was taking his time to walk, his breath was heavy and stomach heaved at the same time he breathes in some air!

He had this wicked look on his face as he saw me, He came close to me and landed a slap on my face, It wasn’t that painful but the second slap he landed stinged me that I could feel it down my bones.

I looked at him straight in the face, I wasn’t going to succumb and die a coward, the least I could do was look at him like a man, cause he ain’t shit.

He was surprised at my boldness and courage, even at the face of demise, I stood my ground.

All his boys could do was kick and slap me, I covered my face away from their assault, Chief Akanga laughter as he watched, after some time, he told them to stop.

By the time he was done talking, he had given me enough time to loosen myself, it was time to escape but how..

The first thing I noticed was from up here to the ground isn’t far enough, if I could land on one of the pile of sands, I’m safe.

And Secondly, Chief Akanga’s boys didn’t have a gun only knives and they were not expertly skilled to throw one.

And thirdly, the space between us was a little bit wide, it was enough for me to escape them. coolval stories

Before they knew what was happening, I took off and ran with a frightening speed, They ran after me running with all their mighty, I ran out of the room and ran where I could escape, They kept following me everywhere I went, I couldn’t keep running forever so I saw an open space and jumped without a second thought.

Luckily for me, I landed on one of the sand piles, without getting hurt, Chief Akanga and his boys were surprised at what they saw, he asked his boys to jump but each of them hesitated, so they quickly ran down to catch me.

Before they could even reach outside, I was long gone, this location which they had brought me was outside Lagos, I ran fast without turning back, I had to hide quick before they enter their car and chase me. The worst part is it was getting dark.

As I was running I saw a car heading towards Lagos, I halted the car and asked for a ride. As the car stopped, I entered the car and took a look breath and felt relaxed, I turned around to see if they were chasing us but they weren’t! I felt excited and turned around to thank the person for giving me a lift but what I saw completely surprised me!
