Hearing my kids talk about their mother like that made my heart heavy.. At first I didn’t take them seriously thinking it must have been their mothers talking them into it but seeing the seriousness on their faces, I knew something was up.

My mom even called me and told me about Carol’s condition, she told me how awful Carol looked… I felt bad… and confused… If she really misses me, why won’t she call? Besides what if I go back and its not what I think… Lots of thought filled my head about the matter… What was I going to do?

As I went to work, I realized Carol was coming to work at all, even on meetings.. I had to cover up for her. The workers started asking questions about her absence but I assures them everything was okay.

Every day of the week, I would stare at my phone hoping Carol would call but she didn’t.. Sometimes I would try to call her but once I dialed the number, I quickly end the call… Why couldn’t I call her…
