Taking over a multi billionaire company was a big responsibility and I wasn’t ready to handle that responsibility, I wasn’t the kind of guy that’s runs a company, I could never sit down around all day signing contracts and attending business meetings, so I decided to talk things out with Lucy about my plans about the company.

So one evening, as I was in my bed laying down, Lucy came in.

Peter Nothing… What do you think about me running the company?

Lucy Why its a great idea! You’ll be great.

Peter Well, I was thinking of selling the company, everything and all, after that I share the money with Pamela, and I’ll use my own share to do something with it.

Lucy Wow! But are you really sure? Is this what you really want? I’ll willing to support whatever you do..

So I decided to call Pamela and tell her about the plan, as soon as the call was picked, I heard Josh’s voice.

Josh Hello Peter, what’s up?

Peter Where is Pamela?

Josh She went out to do her hair, is there something you want to tell her?

Peter Yeah, but tell her to meet me at the mansion tomorrow, there’s something we have to discuss.

As I was on my way to Ivy’s place I began to think how lucky I was to have Lucy has my wife even though we’re yet to be married, spending the rest of my life with her won’t be regrettable and it would be the best choice I’ve made in my entire life.

Soon I arrived at the mansion and went in to see Ivy, as I entered, she was on a phone call but immediately ended the call as soon as I walked in.

Peter Morning ivy!

Ivy Morning Peter, how are you?

Peter I’m fine thank you.

Ivy What brings you here?

Peter Well, I made a decision about running the company so I came here to tell you, since you’re part of the family, I called Pamela last night and She’ll be here soon.

Ivy So what’s your decision?

Peter Well, I’ve decided to sell the company and share the money, three ways with you, me and Pamela, running the company is not my thing.

Ivy Really? That’s great… But are you really sure?

Peter Yes, I’m sure, I want use the money and start something new with Lucy, she and I are getting married soon.

Ivy went in to bring the drinks, Poor woman, all alone in this house, well if we sell the company, I’ll give her a share of the money to start a new life… I hope she gets someone to spend her life with.

I decided to check my phone and call Pamela what’s taking her so long? We don’t have all day, as I put my hands in my pocket, I felt it empty, my phone wasn’t there, I must have forgotten it at home. Ivy returned with the drinks and gave me a glass.

I gulped down the drink quickly, it tasted weird but it was okay, as I dropped the glass , I felt my head getting dizzy, my visions were blurry and I couldn’t feel my body… Ivy who was looking at me with a smile on her face, Came close to me and closed my eyes slowly with her hands, before I knew it, I was asleep.

Hmm, that Peter is cute when he eats, I just love watching that cheerful expression on hid face as he devoured my meal… Any woman who’s husband doesn’t enjoy her meal has failed as a woman..A lady must learn not only to satisfy her husbands sexually but also internally.

As I cleared up the plates, I began to wonder about Peter’s decision about selling the company, I know he did it so he could forget everything about his Father and his legacy. I just hoped he made the right decision and I’ll be there every step of the way to support him and advise him as long as I can.

As I was cleaning the dishes, I heard his phone ring, he must have forgotten about it, so I went to answer the phone, I checked who was calling and it was his friend, Josh.

Josh Hello, who’s this? where’s Peter?

Lucy It’s Lucy, his fiancee, and he’s not around.

Josh Oh Lucy… Please if he returns can you tell him that I can’t find Pamela, she hasn’t returned last night.. I’m getting worried.

Lucy Okay, don’t worry I will.

I ended the call immediately after that… Pamela was missing since last night? I thought She went to do her hair, I began to get worried… Why would she go missing? Does this have to do with the company issue? God… But… Who would want to kidnap Pamela and what do they plan on gaining from this? That’s when I realized something.. Could ivy be behind this? I saw her face when Peter announced Pamela as his half sister, she didn’t seem pleased at all… Could it be…. God… I have to warn Peter, that woman is not be trusted, I’m not sure but I know something is wrong, I’m getting a very bad vibe about all this.

I quickly got dressed and took Peters phone and left the house, as soon as I reached the main road, I entered a Taxi to take me to the mansion.

Within minutes, I arrived but I didn’t stop at the mansion, my money wasn’t enough for the drive to take me direct to the mansion, so I started to walk. Seconds later, I reached the house, but as I was about to enter, I heard strange voices, there was people inside, but who were they? So I decided to peek through the holes of the gate to see and listen to what was going on!

Suddenly, I saw two huge guys, Carrying peter who was unconscious , he was tied and gagged, I wanted to shout but I bit my lips, what were they doing to him? In that moment, The evil appeared out of the shadows, Ivy.

She commanded them to take Peter to one of his dad’s house which was outside the city, I also heard that, Pamela was there as well, and she was planning on killing them both.

I couldn’t believe what I heard so she wants them. Dead so she could own the company all to herself but she can’t do that not without the contract to sign everything over to her but maybe…. She must have… Oh God.. I have to stop this but where do I start.. I tried calling Josh but his phone’s battery had run out of charge, so I quickly disappeared from there and went back home… Ivy must be stopped.

Sometimes being wealthy is a curse because you’ll be surrounded by a bunch of haters who claim to love you, you’ll never know who’s your friend and who’s your enemy until you’ve left yourself Vulnerable, that’s when the Bastards strike, stabbing you in the back with a long deep knife.

Ivy who I thought was a good and caring woman turned out to be Lucifer, the devil himself, a snake in a f-----g green grass waiting to strike.

I was awoken hours later, by a terrible gut feeling blow to my stomach, my hands were tied up straight leaving me standing, Pamela too was there, she was messy and her hair was roughed up, I looked around to see where I was and from what I could tell, its like we were inside a hole.

In front of me stood three huge guys, who looked like brick layers, they were chiseled and buffed up, One of them landed a blow on my stomach again making me shout in pain.. God it hurts, the worst thing is I couldn’t clutch my stomach ease the pain because my hands were tied, as I was about to get another punch, A female Voice ordered them to stop and the Voice was Ivy..

She sat in a dark corridor, smoking as she stared at us with cold eyes, she dropped the cigar and stomped it with her foot, she stood up and came close to us.

Ivy That’s enough…

Peter Ivy what is this? Why? Where are we?

Ivy Too much questions but I’ll answer them, this is your father’s house, and we’re inside a swimming pool hole, your father died before we could finish it… And as to why? I did this for the money… Sorry Peter, don’t take this the wrong way, I have no grudge towards you… This is just business.

Peter Why? I trusted you, I thought you were different, I trusted…. you!

Ivy I didn’t mean for this to happen handsome but you had to go and bring in this b---h and plan to sell the company.. (laughs)

After hearing that revelation, I felt broken, all this people that died, I despised them but they didn’t deserve to die like that especially Janice… So Ivy was the root behind all this, this conniving b---h was behind it all.. She used us all to get what she wanted.

Ivy had brought the company’s contract in her hands, she must have bribed one of the B. O. D, if she gets my signature everything is hers, everything!

In that moment, The rest of her accomplices came, Mr. Jones and Horrace. I knew that detective was a scam, so all these three had masterminded ever thing.

Mr. Jones gave ivy a kiss, she handed him the contract and he collected it with a smile on his face, he asked one of the buff men to cut me loose, which he did.

I was given a pen and a table to sit on and sign the contract, as Mr. Jones came closer, Pamela began to appeal to him.

Pamela Daddy why? Why would you do this?

Mr. Jones Don’t call me that.. I’m not your father… That w---e mother of yours betrayed me, lied to me saying that you were my daughter… So I sent these three men to give her a dose of the pleasure she wants, I hope she burns in hell… Now boy! Sign this contract now!

Mr. Jones Fine… Boys trash that sister of his!

The huge men began to assault Pamela, one was beating her, and the rest assaulted her sexually, her voice pierced my heart, I really wouldn’t sign, she’s not my business she among those i despised as well but because of Josh, my friend who really likes her, so I asked them to stop.

I signed the contract without hesitation and gave the contract back to Jones, his face was full of joy and happiness, Everyone of them looked happy celebrating, about their achievement but as we all know, Like all great empires, there’s always a little fault that makes it crumble to the ground and those faults were, greed, betrayal and mistrust!

As quick as lightening, Jones brought out a gun and shot Ivy in the belly, she shouted and fell on the ground. I was surprised by the turn of events.

Ivy Why?

Jones You miserable w---e, you think I don’t know about your plans to get rid of me and take everything, Horace here told me everything and we worked things out. Now… You die… B---h.. Say hello to Mason for me (laughs)

Unfortunately for Jones, he didn’t know, what man can do, a woman will definitely do it better, Ivy quickly brought out her own gun and shot Jones right in the middle of the head, the man fell hard on the floor lifeless. Horace seeing his ticket to riches was dead on the floor brought out his gun, and shot Ivy on the chest, killing her instantly.

I couldn’t believe what just happened, everything happened so fast, Horace greedily took the contract pointing the gun at me..

Horace This is the end, boy…

Peter Oh yeah? Killing me won’t give you the company, the directors won’t submit to an outsider.

Horace But they will submit to money, I’ll buy them off one by one and in the end, the company will be mine, with this signature, everything will now belong to me… ME!! (Laughs)…. Die you miserable scum…

I closed my eyes to accept my fate, my regret was I was going to see Lucy again and tell her I loved her, in that moment, The door bursted open and the police came in, Horace who was surprised by the whole thing, tried to run but there was no where to go, I used that chance, to knock him out, the three huge men, seeing the police made an attempt to dash for the door but there were captured, In that moment Lucy walked in together with Josh, she came straight rushing in towards me, But unfortunately Horace had woken and in the attempt to run for his dear life, he became to shoot at the police and Lucy was on the way.. I quickly rushed in her front covering her, The police quickly fired back at Horace and one of the bullets pierced his head.. Soon everything was quiet, I tried to stand but I felt pain in my chest and stomach, I touched my myself and saw blood, three bullets had hit me, two in the chest and one in the stomach, Lucy who saw what happened, shouted in horror as I was about to fall, she held me before I could hit the Ground, Josh and Pamela rushed to see what happened. I was bleeding out, bad I could feel my life fading.

Peter Jesus… I’m dying..

Lucy (crying) No. No. Baby, you’re not… Please stay with me.

Josh. Somebody get help… There’s a man down.

Peter It Hurts.. my body.. I feel pain.

Lucy Don’t worry, you’ll survive, you have to.

I knew I wouldn’t make it, not when I’m bleeding out at this rate, I really wished I had more time to spend with Lucy.. God.. I didn’t see this day coming, well that’s life. I saw the contract close to me, I asked Josh to grab it for me which he did, I took the pen from my pocket and wrote Lucy’s name on it.. Giving it to her.

Peter Here.. Take this.. This is all I can give you right now..

Lucy Please don’t.. I don’t need some stupid paper, I want you.

Peter I’m sorry.. Lucy… I love you, always…

Lucy (crying) I.. Love.. You.. Too.. Please don’t go… Peter…. Peter….

And that was it, that was how I died in Lucy’s arms with a smile on my face, at least I left this world as happy man… Lucy.. I’m sorry and I’ll always love you… Always.

Peter’s death really affected me.. I couldn’t think straight after that, I cried every night thinking about him, cursing those that took him away from me. Peter was buried close to his mothers grave, he told me he had always to be mothers side even in death, so I made sure he was buried close to his beloved mom.

I was really going to miss him, as for the company I didn’t want any to do with it but Josh and my family insisted I accepted his parting gift, I did as Peter planned, I sold the company with the help of Pamela and josh and shared the money but they gave me a bigger percentage out of it, Overnight I was Billionaire. And as it turns out, Money wasn’t the only thing I got from Peter, I also got a better gift.. A child, a boy… A week after Peter’s death, I found out I was pregnant with his child, a year after I gave birth to a baby boy and he sure resembled his father, everyone gave me a name for the baby but I named him after his father… Peter Roland the second… I was so happy at least I had something that will always remind me of the man I loved, the man that sacrificed his life for me… Peter.. You’ll always be in my heart.. And one day I hope we meet again.
