I soon arrived at Veronica’s place, Bobbie and Angie looked worried! Veronica wasn’t back yet, this must really serious, maybe she’s hurt somewhere.

Cherry So have you tracked her phone?

Bobby I already did, it’s switched off and I can’t do that if the phone is off.

Cherry God! This is bad! When did she plan this and why didn’t I know of it?

Angie She planned it last night after you left.

Cherry Crazy b---h, if she’s doesn’t make it, I’ll kill her myself.

As we were wondering about what to do about the situation, when the door banged, Angie quietly went and opened the door and to our surprise it was Veronica.

She looked weak and tired, we all rushed at her and gave her a hug.

Angie Crazy girl, don’t ever do this again, you almost gave me an heart attack.

Bobbie I have to say I was really worried about you.

Cherry You psycho, what were you thinking? You could have been killed.

Veronica I know…. Give me some space, you’re all hurting me.

Angie What’s wrong?

Veronica I’ve been shot.

Cherry Jesus!

Bobby Is the bullet still in?

Veronica No, it just bruised my side that’s all.

Cherry Why did you take this long? What happened?

Veronica Its a long story, excuse you guys cause I need to bath.

Angie Here let me help you.

Angie took Veronica to her room and helped her remove her clothes, as soon as she did that, Veronica went into the toilet, God, she was muscular and sexy at the same time, her muscles gave her a sexy killer body that makes men go GA – GA.

After that, she laid down on her bed and I joined her. We sat close to each other, talking.

Cherry Is that what to say after kicking me out?

I left Veronica alone to rest, as I came out from her room, Angie was already at the door.

Angie So are you guys done?

Cherry Where’s bobby?

Angie He’s in his room, he said something about working on Veronica’s necklace and putting something in it…. You know these geeks and their Wahala.

Cherry Anyway, I’ll be going see you later.

I left their house and went straight to work, as usual I was expecting the Chief to be harassing me and all that but today something was quite strange, the chief was in his office looking worried, even as I entered to take some files that needed checking , he didn’t take notice of me.

I don’t what happened but I’m sure glad, he didn’t disturb me today, a bit later, after going through some files, I decided to go and submit them in the chief’s office, as I was about to enter, I heard his voice in an angry tone.

It was like he was speaking to someone through the phone and whatever it is, its not good but I heard something that made me startled with surprise, the chief was taking about the files that were stolen in the police headquarters.

That Veronica, what did she see in that file that made her attempt that crazy stunt? Anyway, i went into the office and as I entered, the chief became startled by my entrance.

Chief Adebayo Can’t you knock?

Cherry Sorry sir, I just came here to submit the files.

Chief Adebayo Drop them and get out of my sight. B---h.

I quietly dropped them and walked out of the office with a smile on my face, I don’t know what’s in that file but I hope Veronica buries them with it.

After work, I drove back home to relax and enjoy my evening, I took my bath and made some nice meal for myself, as I was eating, Chris came into the house, and from the look on his face, he looked worried!

Cherry Hey, what’s wrong? You look upset.

Chris Babe, I have something to tell you.

Cherry What is it?

Chris Your friend Bonnie who is she?

Cherry Bonnie she’s a business woman.

Chris How long have you know her?

Cherry Quite a long time…. Look why are you asking me this?

Chris I hate to say this bur your friend is a criminal.

Cherry (f--k) Excuse me? Criminal?

Chris Let me explain, she has been robbing influential men and dragging their names in the mud, and now she has done something big that will attract attention to her,

Chris She broke into the police headquarters last night.

Cheery (laughing) Wow! Okay, now you’re not making sense, there’s no way a woman could have pulled that off.

Chris But she did, I have evidence that she’s the one.

Chris told me everything about what he did at the headquarters and he even showed me the victims that had similar run with Veronica, the only good thing was, her disguise was the only thing keeping Chris from knowing her true face.

Cherry Look, that’s a very convincing theory but I’m telling you she’s not the one.

Chris Look, i know she’s your friend and you’re trying to protect her, but I’m telling you what she’s doing will lead to a grave consequences, even the people she cares most about will get hurt or killed. And I don’t want you…

Cherry Please hold your horses, i can take care of myself.

Chris Look, just tell me where she is, I want to talk some sense into her, cause sooner or later, the tables will turn against her.

Cherry Look, can you leave my house, I need some time alone… to think.

Chris sighed and left, I was alone in the room with my food untouched, after what Chris told me, I lost my appetite, I never really thought about it until now. Chris was right, Veronica was going to far.

The next day, after I woke up from a very sound sleep, I stretched myself, wore my gym clothes and headed for the gym, I worked myself out for minutes, after that I jogged back home to have breakfast, Bobbie was our chef and he was a good cook, his food always hits top notch.

After the meal, I checked out the files and see what I could do with them, Angie and Bobbie came behind me to see them.

Bobby So you went through that hustle just for some papers.

Veronica Bobbie don’t be deceived, this is what will put those creeps away for a long time.

Angie And how will you do that, these people are rich, they can buy the law.

Veronica Not this time, this time justice wins.

Bobby (reading the files) Jesus! I can’t believe this.

Veronica So you see.

Bobby But how are you going to expose them with this, the media won’t collect it cause they’ll be afraid to even publish , and I know for sure the police are standing at every new paper company here in Abuja.

Veronica So? You’re a computer genius, create a website that will be completely untraceable and once we spread the images of these files and what they have done, the public will surely react. And we’re also going to add more pepper to their wounds.

Angie But I told you, money can get them out.

Veronica Don’t worry, hand me the phone.

Angie passed me the phone in which we use for emergency, we never use to do anything else. Soon I went to work.

Chief Adebayo Hello, who’s this?

Veronica (faking voice) Hello chief, its me.

Chief Adebayo You who?

Chief Adebayo Look stop wasting my time, are you mad?

Veronica Maybe, maybe not but if you don’t treat me with respect, I’ll show the world what’s in those files.

Veronica (laughing) Like to see you try that, now I know everything inside these files and from what I see, you could spend your life in prison if this goes out.

Chief Adebayo You can’t intimidate me, you can’t expose me with those and if you go to the media, you’re dead.

Veronica Don’t be a b---h chief, as far as I know you’re the one who’s dead, this files contains everything you’ve done, criminal conspiracy with the judge and police and making of illegal documents, fraud and bribing an officer and the judge to cover up your crimes and not to mention, sexually harassing your staffs, from what I see you’re in deep shit, if this goes out, your life is over.

The chief was silent for a while, I knew he was thinking about a way out of this situation and if my calculations is right, he would try to negotiate with me.

Chief Adebayo Look, I beg you don’t do this, name your price, I’ll pay.

Veronica hmm, let’s see I want 50 million.

Chief Adebayo Okay done ,let’s meet at a secret place and collect the money but you Also have to bring the file with you.

Veronica Chief, chief, chief, what do you take me for? A basic b---h? I wasn’t born yesterday in fact, I’ve changed my mind, I don’t want the 50 million , I want double of it.

Chief Adebayo What? This is robbery of the highest order.

After that, I hung up the phone and deleted his number, I called both the Judge and C. O. P and told them exactly what I told the chief, I know they would all meet and decide what line of action they would take and that’s when I’ll have them in the palm of my hands.
