Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez has suffered a muscle injury to his right thigh, as confirmed by the MRI scan he underwent on Monday after being injured in the ‘Clásico’.

The bad streak of injuries suffered by Zinedine Zidane on his right wing has extended to Nacho, who after feeling some muscle discomfort against Barcelona had to be replaced in the first half. Medical tests have confirmed a muscle injury.

With the absence of Dani Carvajal, due to his knee injury, and Álvaro Odriozola, due to a muscle issue, the absence of Nacho leaves Zidane without specific wingers for the next matches.

On Tuesday he faces Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Champions League, he called up Sergio Santos and might have to rely on youth players to fill in his gaps.

According to ‘EFE’, Nacho will be absent from the Champions League matches against ‘Gladbach and Inter Milan plus the league matches against SD Huesca and Valencia. The aim is for him to recover for the November break.
