The phone was still placed on sky ear when

officer Monday was apprehended,he heard

all his cries and consistence pleading before

the call blackout and his countenance

changed.the other members who were with

him noticed his changed of mood and they

became surprised.

Brenda:boss,what happen na your face wan

Sky: officer Monday has been caught.

Patrick:what!!**he exclaimed dropping the

remote in his hand on the table.

Boluwatife: omo na serious gbege be that o.

Segun:boss i think we should better leave

this place now before the policemen storm

here.

Sky:we are not going anywhere,sarz or no

sarz Benin city is still ours.

Pelumi:what are we going to do then?,you

know that the police will not stop hunting

when they know our hideout,we will be

hunt by different division and headquarters

Ezra:yes,i agree with pelumi,this place will

not be safe for us anymore.

Sky:i said we are not going anywhere,rather

should get ready cos we are going to storm

leaving the others to ponder on his words.

Later that day at the police station

officer Monday was tied to a chair in a cell

and sergeant tony with the d.p.o and some

other policemen where with him,with the

look of things it seems that he was been

tortured and beaten for hours cos some

cuts and some swollen wound is visibly seen

on his body.

D.p.o:you still will not talk right?,monday

who are the squad and where is their

hideout?.

Sergeant T:talk or i order them to continue

from where they stop.

Officer Monday:i said i dont know,how do

you expect me to tell you what i dont know

eh**he screamed as particle of blood were

hoozing out of his nose and mouth due to

the beating that he received.

D.p.o:since he dont want to talk,i think we

should transfer him to the state headquarter

for proper torture.

Sergeant T:that is the best thing to do sir.

Officer Monday:make una leave me o,i no do

anything o**he said while they all stare at

him in a disgusting manner.

LATER THAT NIGHT

The dragon squad jumped down from the

fenced unnoticed,everywhere was plain

dark cos the phcn has done what they know

how to do best,the few officers on duty

were all asleep which make the mission to

be easy for them.they make their way to the

cell that officer Monday was kept and

remove the key from the warden drawer

who was sleeping peacefully with his head

rested on the table and sky unlocked the cell

with the key to meet officer Monday who

was sleeping on the floor.

Sky:monday wake up lets leave this place

now**he said patting him on his leg and he

woke up.

Officer Monday:what took you guys so long,i

almost confessed cos of the torture.**he

said and follow them gently till they all left

the resident slowly while the officers on

duty where snoring like pigs hitting

themselves at interval to either kill

mosquitoes or flies.and they jumped out

through the fence just like they came in.

Sky:is this how the police force protect lives

and properties?**he asked when they

where close to their car and the others

laughed.

Officer Monday:so we should now go and

die because we be police abi?,live is

precious o.**he said and they laugh again

then they all enter their car and zoomed of.

¤they drove for hours and stopped in a

lonely part under a shady tree,then sky took

a bag from the car and gave it to officer

Monday.

Sky:that is 12 million naira,am paying you off

for the wonderful job that you have always

done for me.

Officer Monday:thank you so much sir,you

are really a good man.

Sky:go and get your family this night and

leave this state this minute before the police

notice your absence,use that money for a

legal business and live a good life cos we

will not be able to save you again when you

are caught.my part in completed dragon

squad never abandoned their loyal

members.**he said and officer Monday

thanked him once again then he exit the car

and they drove off.

THE NEXT MORNI

The sergeant and the officer on duty the

other night were all in the d.p.o office.

D.p.o:i asked again where is officer Monday?

**he said and they remain silent facing their

gaze on the ground.then one of them

summon courage and spoke up.

Police1.sir,the dragon squad came here last

night,they were shooting everywhere and

we were forced to run away cos there was

no weapon for us to engage in a combat

with them.

D.p.o:what happen to the weapons?.

Police1.the weapon room was locked by

sergeant tony last night sir.

D.p.o:is it true sergeant?.

Sergeant tony:am sorry sir,i never knew that

there will be any attack on us last night sir.

D.p.o:you dont know there will be an attack

when the dragon squad are still on the

loose?.
